A home-screen mood widget for two, across time zones. iPhone and Android.
You wake up as they fall asleep. Your lunch break is their midnight, and a “how are you?” sent at the wrong hour waits all night for an answer. You don’t need a long call every day: you want to know how their day feels, and let them know how yours does.
HOW LONG-DISTANCE COUPLES SHARE A MOOD ON TINTEE
Make a group for the two of you and send the link, wherever your partner is. It stays closed: joining takes an invite link.
Post your mood: one of ten colors, the right word if you like, how strong. Your tint wakes up on your partner’s screen, whatever time it is for them.
The widget keeps your partner on your home screen (and on your lock screen on iPhone); on Android, a floating bubble too. When they post, a silent notification refreshes it.
One of you on iPhone, the other on Android? A group can mix both.
Send a sign in one tap (✌️ “thinking of you”, 🫂 “with you”, 🤗 a hug) or an invitation like 📞 “hop on a call?” or 👋 “see you soon?”. On each phone, you choose the sound signs make, silent included.
Once you’ve posted, guess your partner’s mood while their tint is still asleep (“Do you know me?”). When they post, you find out.
On Sunday, your week becomes a comic of up to six panels, drawn from your real moments.

ACROSS TIME ZONES
Tintee follows each phone’s own clock. On your screen, a tint wakes up when its owner posts and falls back asleep at your midnight, so your scene shows who has posted during your day.
ÉCHO follows your date too: you each play the day’s drawings when that day comes for you. You see your partner’s word as soon as you have both played; otherwise, once it is 8 PM for both of you, each on your own clock.
WHAT IT NEVER COLLECTS
No location: Tintee never knows where either of you is.
For ÉCHO, your phone sends only its time offset from UTC, like “UTC+2”, to know when 8 PM is for you: never your city or the name of your time zone. It is removed when voting closes, the next morning. From version 0.9.23 of the app, your mood also carries this time offset, kept with your current mood on your private profile and never shown to your group, so that our server files your mood under the day of your phone in the Sunday comic and in the month of your crew. It is replaced with each new mood and deleted with your account.
No photos and no chat log to scroll back through. No “seen” either: neither of you knows when the other looked.
Your mood history, with all its words, is a private diary only you can read. Your partner sees your current mood and, looking back, one mood per day, in the Sunday comic and the month of your crew.
Signing up takes no email, no phone number and no password. No ads.
The privacy policy lists everything the app keeps, and for how long.
LONG-DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP APP: YOUR QUESTIONS
What app can I use to share my mood with my partner when we live far apart?
Tintee does it with a private group for the two of you. You post a mood in a few taps, and it shows on your partner’s home-screen widget, whatever the hour where they are. No messages to answer across time zones, and no location.
Does it work across time zones?
Yes. Each phone follows its own clock: on your screen, a tint wakes up when its owner posts and falls back asleep at your midnight. At ÉCHO, you see your partner’s word as soon as you have both played, or once it is 8 PM for both of you.
One of us has an iPhone, the other an Android phone. Does it work?
Yes. iPhone and Android work together in one group: the same wall, a widget on each phone, the same daily game. The beta is open on both.
Is there a game for long-distance couples?
Yes, every day, and always optional. In ÉCHO, the daily word game, you each write one word for the same three drawings; with two, there is no vote, and the same word crowns you both. In “Do you know me?”, you guess your partner’s mood before they post it.
Can my partner see where I am?
No. Tintee never collects location. Your partner sees the mood you post, with the details you choose to add. The only hint is the hour: your ÉCHO word can appear at 8 PM your time.
Will a sign wake my partner up in the middle of their night?
That depends on their phone. Each of you chooses the sound signs make on your own phone, silent included: whoever sleeps while the other is awake can keep signs silent. A new mood refreshes the widget with a silent notification.
